[pharmacological Properties] estradiol can promote the normal growth and development of female organs and secondary sexual characteristics of female livestock.Cervical mucosal cells increase and secretion increase, vaginal mucosa thickening, promote endometrial hyperplasia and increase uterine smooth muscle tension.Estradiol also has an effect on bone system, which can increase calcium salt deposition, accelerate epiphyseal closure and bone formation, moderately promote protein synthesis, and increase water and sodium retention.In addition, estradiol can negatively regulate the release of gonadotropins from the anterior lobe of adenohypophysis, thereby inhibiting the secretion of lactation, ovulation and androgens.

[usage and dosage] Intramuscular injection: one dose, horse 10-20ml;Cattle 5 ~ 20 ml;1 ~ 3 ml sheep;The pig 3 ~ 10 ml;The dog 0.2 ~ 0.5 ml.
[Side effects] (1) in small animals such as dogs and cats, it can cause blood dyslipidemia, which is mostly seen in elderly animals or in high-dose applications.Platelet and leucocyte increase at first, but develop gradually for platelet and leucocyte decrease.Severe aplastic anemia may result.
(2) may cause cystic endometrial hyperplasia and uterine pus.
(3) prolonged estrus and reduced lactation.After treatment can appear precocious, follicular cyst.Most of the above effects are caused by excessive application. Adjusting dose can alleviate or eliminate these adverse reactions.
