Product Description

 

Generic Name	Procaine Penicillin + Penicillin Sodium Powder for Injection (3MIU +1 MIU).
Composition	VETERINARY USE ONLY Each vial contains: Procaine Penicillin........ 3MIU Penicillin Sodium....... 1 MIU
Description	White or almost white sterile powder.
Indication	It has the same indications as penicillin. As its peak blood concentration is relatively low, it is only indicated in mild infections  caused by penicillin-sensitive bacteria, such as tonsillitis, scarlet fever, erysipelas, furuncles and carbuncles. It is also effective for  syphilis, Vincent's angina and gonorrhea.
Dosage and Administration	It is given by I.M. injection only. A suitable amount of water for injection is added into the vial before use. 500,000 IU-1,000,000 IU each time, once or twice a day.
Withdrawal Period	Not specified in the standards at present.
Precaution	Before administration, skin tests of procaine and penicillin should be made. It should not be administrated to patients  hypersensitive  to penicillin and procaine.
Storage	Kept in well-closed containers and stored in a dry place
Shelf life	3 years
Packing	In vials of 4,000,000 IU-each containing 3,000,000 IU of procaine penicillin and l,000,000 IU of penicillin sodium. 20ml,32ml per vial. 50 vials/box; 600 vials/carton.
