Function	Antibacterial Drugs
Product Name	Thiamphenicol 25% Oral Solution
Composition	Thiamphenicol Content: 98.0 per cent to 100.5 per cent (dried substance). Thiamphenicol Sulphated ash: Maximum 0.1 per cent, determined on 2.0 g. Thiamphenicol Chlorides: Maximum 200 ppm Thiamphenicol Loss on drying: Maximum 1.0 per cent Thiamphenicol Heavy metals: Maximum 10 ppm
Appearance	White or yellowish-white, crystalline powder or crystals.
Indication	Thiamphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and especially effective against anaerobes. Thiamphenicol may be used in the treatment and control of a wide range of respiratory and alimentary tract infections of bacterial origin in calves, pigs and poultry. The oral product is not suitable for the treatment of cattle with functional rumen.
Dosage and Administration	General: Thiamphenicol is an antimicrobial substance intended for the treatment of infectious diseases in cattle, pigs and poultry. It is used as the water soluble thiamphenicol glycine hydrochloride for parenteral therapy and as a premix composed of thiamphenicol base and corn starch, (4:1) or other mixer, for oral use. calves: 30 and 60 mg/kg pigs: 20 - 40 mg/kg poultry: 15 to 67 mg/kg dairy cows: 30 mg/kg
Side Effects	This product comes with hematologic toxicity ,does not cause irreversible bone marrow aplastic anemia. But more common the adverse effect is reversibility erythropoiesis inhibition.  Long-term medication can induce digestive disorders, lack of vitamin or double infection symptoms.  This product with a certain embryo toxicity, do not use it during pregnancy and lactation.
Precaution	In case of known renal insufficiency the dose should be longer interval between dosing.  Prohibited to use this product if there is  immune system defects.
